Camper, Jr., 70 HARRINGTON - Merritt H. "Bud" Camper, Jr., 70, of Harrington, died Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Kent General Hospital, Dover. Bud was born in Harrington, the son of the late Merritt H. and Julia (Bakota) Camper, Sr. He was a graduate of Harrington High School Class of 1962. He worked as a supervisor at Playtex, Dover for 25 years in the printing and forms department, retiring in 1986. He then worked at Sir Speedy Printing as a manager for 20 years before retiring in 2006. Bud enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles, reading and attending his grandsons soccer games. He attended Prospect United Methodist Church. Bud enjoyed gardening and was able to enjoy his most beautiful and productive garden this past summer. He is survived by his wife, Jeanne L. Camper; one son, Eric Camper and his wife Tina, of Harrington; two grandchildren, Colby Camper and Jarred Camper; an honorary grandson, Kurt Moyer; one sister, Thelma Rae Melvin and her husband Oscar Melvin, Sr.; as well as several nieces, nephews and devoted cousins. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, October 23, 2014 at the McKnatt, Carpenter & Baker Funeral Home, 50 Commerce Street, Harrington where friends may call from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Hollywood Cemetery, Miford - Harrington Highway, Harrington. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Prospect U.M. Church, P.O. Box 342, Harrington, DE 19952.
