Merle Emberlain

MAGNOLIA - Merle Emberlain passed away at home. Mrs. Emberlain was born Jul. 27, 1925 in Elkins, West Va. to the late Wade Isner and Daisy Tallman Isner. She worked as a waitress at the Hollywood Diner in Dover and had worked for 15 years at Capitol Cleaners. Mrs. Emberlain had attended Calvary Assembly of God Church, and was a member of Modern Maturity Center and Antique Car Club. She was very proud of her children and her first husband's service to his country. In addition to her parents; she was preceded in death by her husband, James Emberlain; and son, Buzz Fowler. She is survived by her sons, Val Fowler of Palm Harbor, Fla.; Chris Fowler of Brooklynn, Md., Guy Fowler of Townsend, and Toby Fowler of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter, Aleta Ridgway of Milton; 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. A viewing will be held from 6-8, Tuesday, Feb. 7 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Funeral services will be held 11am Friday, Feb. 10 at Tomblyn Funeral Home, 45 Randolph Ave., Elkins, WV, where friends may call one hour prior. Interment will follow in Elkins Memorial Garden, Country Club Road, Elkins, W. Va. Letters of condolences may be sent and guest book signed at www.torbertfuneral.com
