Maurice C. Brandner, 84 MILLSBORO - Maurice C. Brandner, 84, of Millsboro, passed away Friday, Aug. 29, 2008, in the Atlantic Shores Nursing Center, Millsboro. He was 84. Mr. Brandner was born on July 27, 1924, in Sutton, Neb., to the late Frederick Brandner and Anna Marie Zimmerman Brandner. He worked in the maintenance department at Mountaire of Delmarva, Inc. in Selbyville, retiring in 1989 after 20 years of service. Mr. Brandner enjoyed his family very much. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of World War II and a past member of the V.F.W. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Selma Jean Chartier Brandner in 1992 and a son, Tony Brandner in 1994. Mr. Brandner is survived by three sons, Frank Brander and Rick Brandner both of Millsboro, Larry Brandner of Lincoln; three daughters, Judy McGinnis of Delmar, Ruth Lewis of Dagsboro, and Teresa Lockerman of Millsboro; a brother, Harvey Brandner of Seaford; a sister, Seatta Murray of Clarksville; 22 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren. Services will be noon, Wednesday, in the Watson Funeral Home, 211 S. Washington Street, Millsboro, where friends may call at 11 a.m. Pastor Bob Boyce will officiate the service. Burial will be in Millsboro Cemetery, Millsboro. Letters of condolence may be emailed via www.watsonfh.com.
