LEWES - Maureen Ellen Ward died Monday, May 5, 2008, at home in Lewes after a valiant battle with cancer. She was surrounded by those who love her. She was 42.
She was supported by the incredible staff of the Tunnell Cancer Center.
Maureen will be forever mourned by her parents, R. Malachy and Catherine Ward; her brothers, Robert and Malachy; her sister, Christy Ann and her brother-in-law, Thomas Snook; and her nephews, Tadhg and Burke.
A Mass celebrating the gift of Maureen's life will be at 1 p.m. Thursday in St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, 2503 Centerville Road, Wilmington, with the Rev. John Hynes as celebrant. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to Mass.
Maureen loved her drama group, so instead of flowers contributions may be made to AbleArts, Inc., 26 Fox Hunt Drive, PMB 231, Bear, DE 19701.
Arrangements are being handled by Parsell Funeral Enterprises, Inc., Lewes.
