Mary V. Morgan

MILLSBORO - Mary V. Morgan, of Millsboro, formerly of Dover, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012, at her daughter's home. She was 91. Mrs. Morgan was born April 10, 1921, in Cheswold, to the late Franklin Johnson and Mary Carney Johnson. She had received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Home Economics from Delaware State University. Mrs. Morgan retired in 1979 from Woodbridge High School. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and going to her grandsons soccer games. Mrs. Morgan was a member of Immanuel Union United Methodist Church in Cheswold and Dagsboro Church of God in Dagsboro. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond L. Morgan, 2009; and sisters, Anna B. Ridgeway Sammons, and Dorothy Coker. She is survived by her children, Collisa N. Hunt and her husband Roger of Millsboro, and Raymond L. Morgan Jr. of Bridgeville; brothers, James F. Johnson, and Jackie Johnson, both of Cheswold, Lenwood Johnson of Dover; sisters, Winona Wortham, Joan Brittingham, and Sandra Coker, all of Dover; grandchildren, Jonathan Morgan of Laurel, Md., and Morgan Hunt of Millsboro; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Immanuel Union United Methodist Church, 756 Main Street, Dover, Cheswold. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be in church cemetery. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
