SMYRNA - Mary S. Raynor (Podlesny), of Smyrna, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Fri., April 01, 2011. She was born July 4, 1938, in Hazelton, Pa. to the late John & Mary Podlesny. She is survived by her husband, William C. Raynor; three children, Valerie Raynor of Dover, William Raynor of Smyrna, and Pamela Gray of Dover; a granddaughter, Nicole Gray, also of Dover; a sister, Joan Russ and her husband Louis of Hershey, Pa; and a brother, John Podlesny of Middletown, Pa. Mary retired from the State of Delaware in 1991. She enjoyed being a homemaker and shopping. A viewing will be held on Thurs., April 7, 2011, from 11 a.m. till 12:30 p.m. at the Faries Funeral Chapel located on 29 S. Main St., Smyrna. Funeral services will begin at 12:30 p.m. Burial will held in the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Bear, Del. In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to St. Peter's Episcopal Church, 22 North Union St., Smyrna, DE., or to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way, Suite 205, New Castle, DE. 19720.
