MILLSBORO - Mary Lou Revel of Millsboro died Wednesday, July 11, 2007, in Green Valley Terrace Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Millsboro. She was 72.
Mary Lou loved to cook and work in her garden.
She was a retired receptionist from Mid Sussex.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Alton P. and Edna (Lawson) Timmons; her husband, Kenneth Revel, in 1999; and a son, Michael Revel, in 1997.
She is survived by a daughter, Tammy Hitchens and husband Jimmy of Millsboro; a brother, Jerry Revel of Salisbury, Md.; a sister, Colleen Hearn of Bishopville, Md.; and a granddaughter, Mera Leigh Hitchens.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Watson Funeral Home, 211 Washington St., Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be in Carey"s Cemetery Millsboro. The Rev. Dr. Bruce Revel will officiate.
Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Shanefelter, 67
MILLSBORO - Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Shanefelter of Millsboro, formerly of Finksburg, Md., died Tuesday, July 10, 2007, at the Lewes Convalescent Center. She was 67.
Born June 17, 1940, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Howard Counselman and Betty Hildreth Bage Counselman.
Bobbie was the loving wife of 50 years to Irvin R. Shanefelter Sr.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Robert W. And Michael W. Shanefelter of Millsboro; a sister, Joan Carpenter; Patricia Bond, Ronald and Richard Counselman; and three grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Irvin R. Shanefelter Jr., in 1990.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Eckhardt Funeral Chapel, 11605 Reisterstown Road, Owings Mills, Md., where friends may call on Friday from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. The Rev. Jeffrey Corson will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens.
