DOVER - Mary Lee Hickman, of Dover, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011, at Kent General Hospital. She was 78. Mary Lee Hickman was born Aug. 1, 1932, in Dover, to the late Elmer E. Lee and Saloma Wingard Lee. She was the oldest of 16 children. She was a homemaker and enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint and especially spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Lester Hickman in 2002; siblings, Noah E. Lee, Matilda Hutchins, Joseph E. Lee, Norman Lee, Racheal Linda Lee, and David E. Lee. She is survived by her five children, Martin Hickman and his partner in life Marie of Dover, Raymond Hickman and his partner in life Frances of Prospect Park, Pa., Thelma Scott and her husband Bud of Dover, Soloma Bennett and her husband John of Dover, and Norma Denham and her husband Lewis of Wyoming; siblings, John E. Lee of Arcola, Ill., Lydia Wakeland and her husband Donald of Wolf Lake, Ind., Ernest Lee and his wife Sovilla of Madison, Va., Iva Beachy and her husband Albert of Arcola, Ill., Olive Miller of Wyoming, Daniel Lee and his wife Betty of Middletown, Fannie Mae Morris and her husband Leonard of Dover, and Barbara Ann Lewis of Cumberland, Md.; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren and one on the way. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, April 22, 2011, at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover. Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday evening. A reception will be 1 to 3 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2011, at the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park.
