Mary Jane Woomer passed away on February 28, 2022 at Bayhealth hospital after several years of poor health. Mary Jane was born on 22 April 1958 in Bell, Texas to the late Emma Dee Blalock and Clifford Arthur Woomer, Jr. formerly of Smyrna and Dawsons Springs, Ky.
Mary Jane was a 1976 graduate of Smyrna High School. She retired from Bayhealth after 26 years. Mary Jane was in charge of games and the kid zone for many years at the annual June Jam event.
She left behind her companion of 29 years, John McMullen of Front St., Camden-Wyoming; and her siblings: Christopher (Paula) Woomer of Marietta, Georgia, Patrick (Robin) Woomer of Gansevoort, N.Y., and Debbi Slay of Granite, Illinois; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; and her brothers, Michael G. Woomer, Clifford A. Woomer III, and David W. Slay. She also leaves her faithful lifetime friend, Sandra L. Thorstenson of Clayton.
A memorial service may be held at a future date.
Condolences may be sent c/o John McMullen, 49 Front St., Camden-Wyoming, Delaware.
