Mary Jane 'Janey' Cross, 60

DOVER - Mary Jane "Janey" Cross of Dover died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008 at Kent General Hospital. She was 60.

Ms. Cross was born Feb. 26, 1947, in Wilmington, daughter of the late William Asbury Cross Jr. and Mary E. (Loebe) Cross.

She served in the U.S. Air Force, working as a ship fitter for the Newport News Naval Shipyard.

Ms. Cross is survived by her brother, William A. Cross III of Oakridge, Tenn.; two sisters, Susan Shore and her husband Kim of Felton and Judith Dewey and her husband Bruce of Port Deposit, Md.; three nephews, William A. Cross IV and his wife Sarah of Oakridge, Eric W. Shore of Felton and Patrick W. Cross of Knoxville, Tenn.; five nieces, MaryAnn Zdrojewski of Lewes, Stephanie Bingham and her husband Woody of Oliver Springs, Tenn., Brooke Bollinger and her husband Patrick of Baltimore, Tracy Griffith and her husband Marty of Oakridge and Karen Shore of Felton.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover.
