Mary Eleanor Walls

Mary Eleanor Walls, 87 CENTREVILLE, Md. - Mary Eleanor Walls of Centreville, Md., died at Corsica Hills Nursing Home, Centreville, on Saturday, June 12, 2010. She was 87. Born Aug. 31, 1922, in Lynch, Md., she was the daughter of the late, Robert and Florence Keyser Usilton. She grew up in Lynch and graduated from Kent County High School. In 1947 she married Orville F. Walls. Mr. Walls died Sept. 5, 1995. She worked for the Defense Plant in Chestertown, Md., and later for Campbell Soup and retired from Tidewater Publishing in 1994. She enjoyed cooking, spending time with her family and going to yard sales. Mrs. Walls is survived by two sons, Williams Walls of Woodside, Del., and Robert Walls of Centreville; a daughter, Elizabeth Peacock of Crumpton; three step daughters, Margaret E. McClain of Oklahoma, Nancy E. Blank of Baltimore, and Lois E. Corey of Wisconsin; two sisters, Evelyn Councell and Anna Kendall, both of Chestertown; eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Alan Walls; a daughter, Bonnie Walls; a brother, Mike Usilton; and two grandchildren, David Monjay and Cheryll Skinner. Funeral services will be held at the Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, P. A., Centreville, MD on Thursday, June 17, 2010, at 1 p.m., where friends and family may call one hour prior to the service noon to 1 p.m. Burial will be in Chesterfield Cemetery, Centreville. Arrangements are by the Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home, P.A., Centreville, Md. Online condolences may be made at www.fhnfuneralhome.com.
