Mary Catherine Willey

SEAFORD - Mary Catherine Willey passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018 at Nanticoke Memorial Hospital in Seaford. Born in Salisbury, she was the daughter of the late Franklin Lee Elliott and Norma Truitt Elliott.
She was a member of the American Legion Post 19 in Laurel. Mary worked for the Seaford Manor House for several years, retiring in 1999. She loved flowers, gardening, cooking and spending time with her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by three children, Betty Ann Beattie (John) of Laurel, Coleman F. Willey (Laralyn) of Seaford, and David Lambert of Princess Anne; eight grandchildren, Josh, Little John, Savannah, Jacob, Cole, Tori, Thane, and Taylor; four great grandchildren; two sisters, Lillie Smullen of Cambridge and Patricia Elliott of Florida; a brother, Daniel Elliott of Cambridge; and an emotional support dog, "Pee Wee".
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Coleman Orville Willey; a grandson, John Franklin Beattie, II; and a sister, Lillian Elliott.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Allen Cemetery. Officiating will be Pastor Shawn Willey.
Contributions may be made in her memory to the American Heart Association.
