SMYRNA - Mary Catherine Lane, "Cathy," passed away suddenly with her mother, Louise Margaruite Carrow, on Sun., Dec. 13, 2015 at her home. She was born Aug. 28, 1959 in Wilmington, the daughter of the late Robert and Louise Lane. She worked for many years with the State of Delaware and the Warwick, MD Post Office. A loving and vivacious person, Cathy loved hiking, biking and walking along the beach. She also enjoyed antiquing and collecting with her mother. She is survived by two brothers, Michael Lane and his wife Gayle of Chadds Ford, Pa. and Robert Lane and his wife Ellen of Newark; two sisters, Lou Ann Moreno and her husband Tony of Smyrna, and Margaret Lane of Clayton; and an extended family of loving step-brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Fri., Dec. 18, 2015 at 12 p.m. in St. Polycarp Parish, located at 135 Ransom Lane in Smyrna. A private burial will follow.
