Mary Anna Mabrey Ridley

Ridley, 78 DOVER - Mary Anna Mabrey Ridley gave up her breath to god on Wed., July 29, 2015. As a Christian, she will await the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ. Born on August 20, 1936 in Sudlersville, MD she was the daughter of the late William F. and Helen Walls Mabrey. In 1954, she married Fred D. Ridley, Sr. and had two children. Mrs. Ridley started working at Belbers in Smyrna. In 1965, she worked at the Kenton School Cafeteria, and later at the Dover Court House from 1968 to 1972. She also worked in produce and selling for fifteen years, with her cousin, who owned Char-D Farms. Mrs. Ridley baked and sold cookies, cakes, fudge, jams, and sweet breads at the Easton Farmer's Market. She loved her family, friends, get togethers and taking care of her home. She also enjoyed growing flowers, yard work, ceramics and weaving. She is survived by two sons, Fred D. Ridley, II and his wife Sylvia of Dover, and Randall "Randy" V. Ridley and his fiance' Kim Scott of Dover; a sister, Audrey Marie Burris of Sudlersville, MD; a brother, John Mabrey of Hartly; two grandsons, Dr. Jason Ridley of Boston, MA and Brandon Thomas of Maryland, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A visitation will be held Sun., Aug. 2, 2015 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Fellows, Helfenbein and Newnam Funeral Home 370 Cypress St Millington, MD. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, Aug 2, 2015 at 12 noon in Sudlersville Cemetery.
