Mary Ann (Coyle) Gibbons, 65
EARLEVILLE, Md. - Mary Ann (Coyle) Gibbons of Earleville died Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2007, in Union Hospital, Elkton. She was 65.
Mrs. Gibbons was born May 5, 1941, in Philadelphia, daughter of the late John J. Coyle and Mary C. Coyle Rooney.
She was educated in West Catholic High School and graduated with the class of 1959. She then studied architectural design.
Mrs. Gibbons retired from the Raytheon Corp. as an architectural designer in 1991.
She married Joseph Gibbons on April 24, 1976; they lived in Southwest Philadelphia. They moved to Crystal Beach in Earleville in 1992.
She was a member of St. Dennis Catholic Church in Galena and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Chesapeake City.
Mrs. Gibbons loved football, especially Notre Dame and the Philadelphia Eagles. She also loved her home, designing and overseeing the construction, and gardening and cooking.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph; a brother, John J. Coyle of Norristown, Pa.; a sister, Peg Kerins of Aston, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian burial will be 11 a.m. Friday in St. Dennis Catholic Church, Galena, where friends may call one hour earlier.
Burial will be in Galena Cemetery.
