Raughley GREENSBORO - Mary Alice Kinnamon Raughley, of Greensboro, Md., went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011. She was 95. Mary was born in Goldsboro, on Dec. 27, 1915 to the late Walter Harman and Mary Anne Ross Kinnamon. She lived in Goldsboro until she moved to Chester, Pa. in 1941 where she operated a boarding house. She returned to Goldsboro in 1946 to own and operate a restaurant for several years. In 1963 she moved to New Port, Del., until 1993 when she moved to Greensboro. Mary was a member of Bethel Wesleyan Church, Goldsboro and the Breakfast Mission Auxiliary, Wilmington, Del. She is survived by three sons, William A. Jones of Greensboro, James E. Raughley, Sr. of Elkton and David W. Raughley, Sr. of Newark, Del., 11 grandchildren, Cheryl, Dan, and Mary all of Greensboro, Brian of Marion, N.C., Gary of Wellsville, N.Y., Beth Jeffers of Monroe, OH., James, Jr. and Maria both of Elkton, Stacey of Wilmington, Del., David, Jr. of Newark, Del., and Jocelyn Allen of Harrington, Del.; 16 great grandchildren, plus several nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Raughley; her four brothers, Calvin, Linwood, Hackett, and Fletcher; three sisters, Sallie Sculley, Alberta Baker, and Laura Lowman. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at 2:00 P.M., from Fleegle & Helfenbein Funeral Home, 106 W Sunset Ave, Greensboro, MD where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
