Coppage, 75 CENTREVILLE, Md. - Marvin Bowen Coppage of Centreville, Md. died on October 10, 2015. He was 75. Born on June 30, 1940, he was the son of the late Benjamin Lake Coppage and Gertrude Kimbles Coppage. Marvin graduated in 1958 from Centreville High School, and married his high school sweetheart, Jane Powell in 1960. The couple lived in Price when they were first married and then moved to Roberts Station, where he began farming. In 1969, they moved to Warwick, Md. where Marvin managed the Southern States in Middletown, Del. In 1976 he was transferred to Salisbury, Md., where they lived for two years before moving home to Church Hill, Md. Marvin worked at Flo-N-Gro in Lynch, Md., until starting his own fertilizer business, Coppage Farm Services, which he owned and operated with his sons. He finished out his career with Willards Agri Service in Lynch, retiring in 2003. Marvin was a member of the Marvin Memorial United Methodist Church in Barclay, Md.; a member and past president of the Sudlersville Skeet Club, past president of the Coppedge-Coppage Family Association, and a member of the Kent County Gun Club. His hobbies included skeet and trap shooting, making his own shot, golfing, hunting and, in the mid-1980s, he drag raced cars. He took much pride in teaching his family how to hunt and about gun safety. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Marvin B. "Chip" Coppage, Jr. of Centreville, Md., David P. Coppage and his wife, Vicky, of Centreville, Md., Susan P. Coppage and Chris Milliner of Barclay, Md., Kerri C. Russell and her husband, Shane, of Centreville, Md.; and his beloved dog, Ellie; grandchildren, Michael B. Coppage, Joseph R. Coppage, Kendall L. Coppage, Jordan J. Coppage, James Alexander Bradley, Jr., Cheyanne L. Russell, Samantha Cusic-Coppage, Parker B. Roskovich and Delaney A. McGowen; a great-granddaughter, Alliyah Coppage; his brother, William B. Coppage of Church Hill, Md.; and many special nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Nobel Franklin Coppage and Arvel Lee Coppage. He will always be remembered for his kind hearted manner and his infectious smile. Friends and family may visit from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, October 16, 2015 at the Fellows, Helfenbein & Newnam Funeral Home, P.A. in Centreville, Md. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, October 17, 2015 at the Centreville United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Chesterfield Cemetery in Centreville, Md. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Marvin B. Coppage Children's Hunter Education Fund, c/o Centreville National Bank, 109 N.
