Martin Isaac Talmud

Camden-Wyoming - Martin Isaac Talmud passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014, in Country Rest Home, Greenwood. He was 80. Martin was born, April 9, 1934, in York, Pa., to the late, Louis and Eleanor (Hertz) Talmud. Martin served proudly for almost 40 years, with the United States Air Force; retiring with the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. He was a member of the V.F.W., Jewish War Veterans, and the American Legion. He served on the Board of Directors of the Dover Federal Credit Union; and was a member of Congregation Beth Shalom, Dover. He enjoyed playing golf, and working with his model trains. Martin was preceded in death by his brother, Sidney Talmud. Marty is survived by his wife, Mary (Clough) Talmud; two sons, Jeff Talmud and Keith Talmud, and his companion Chrissy; a step-daughter, Cindy (John) Pearson; siblings, Maurice Talmud and wife, Barbara, Herb Talmud, and wife, Rosario, Stan Talmud and wife, Paula, and Lucille Soffer; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014, at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 26669 Patriots Way, Millsboro. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com
