Martha Savannah Bivens

Martha Savannah (Dickerson) Bivens, 91

FRANKFORD - Martha Savannah (Dickerson) Bivens of Frankford died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2007, surrounded by her loving family at home after a long illness. She was 91.

Martha was born Oct. 21, 1915, in Snow Hill, Md., to the late Robert and Alice (Duncan) Dickerson.

She and her husband, Emerson Leroy Bivens, were married and moved to Frankford, making it their home.

Martha was a housekeeper for several families in the Frankford area.

She was a member of Union Wesley United Methodist Church, Clarksville, where she sang with the senior choir.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband.

She is survived by four sons, James E. Bivens, Denver S. Bivens, Mervin W. Bivens and Calvin L. Bivens, all of Frankford; one daughter, Deanna S. Bivens of Frankford; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday in Union Wesley Church, Clarksville, where friends may call two hours prior.

Burial will be in Friendship United Methodist Church Cemetery, Snow Hill.

Arrangements by Miller Funeral Services.
