Chambers Jarvis SALISBURY,MD - Marjorie "Margie" Chambers Jarvis of Salisbury, Md., formerly of Denton, Md., died at her home on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2013. Born on January 25, 1933, she was 80 years old. Born in Dover, Del., Mrs. Jarvis was the daughter of the late Luther Jennings Chambers and Alta Mistol Rash Chambers. Her husband, Thomas L. (Lindy) Jarvis, died Nov. 15, 1994. Mrs. Jarvis was retired from various business manager positions including the Greensboro Ice Cream Plant, DTCC – Kent Campus, and Caroline Nursing Home. She was well-known for her involvement in community projects in Caroline County. She had been active in the Friends of Caroline Hospice, the Caroline and Greensboro Historical Societies, the Order of the Eastern Star Chapter #62, and the Choptank River Yacht Club. Even after moving to Salisbury, she maintained an active interest in community affairs in Denton and Greensboro. A great friend to all who knew her and always willing to lend a helping hand, she will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Jarvis is survived by two daughters, Brenda Lyn Jarvis of Denton and Susan J. Pitsenbarger and her husband Warren of Salisbury; one brother, Edward Chambers of Townsend, Del.; two sisters, Beatrice Whalen of Clayton, Del., and Jeanette Donovan of Smyrna, Del.; five grandchildren, Christina Angstadt, Valerie Angstadt, Charles (C.J.) Angstadt, Joey Pitsenbarger, and Luke Pitsenbarger; and one great-grandchild, Thomas Gallagher. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013 at the St. Paul's United Methodist Church in Greensboro, Md.,where friends may visit with the family from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. before the service. The service will begin with an Order of the Eastern Star service. The interment will be private. If friends wish to send memorial donations in Mrs. Jarvis' memory, the family suggests sending them to the St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 300 W.
