Marion R. Sheldon passed away peacefully on  September 6, 2026, in Dover, Delaware. She was the heart of her family, and her profound kindness touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Marion was born on January 14, 1932, in Freeland, Pennsylvania. A woman of deep faith and community spirit, she was a dedicated member of the  Trinity Wesleyan Church, where she shared her warmth and guidance as a Sunday school teacher. Marion’s spirit of service shone brightly in her 50s when she began volunteering at  Kent General Hospital. Her passion for helping others led to a part-time career as a patient transporter, a role she proudly held until her late 70s. Outside of her service to others, Marion found great joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved her cats, and she was an exceptionally talented cook and baker. She spent countless hours knitting beautiful pieces and, above all, cherished every moment spent surrounded by her family. Marion was a fiercely kind and caring soul, always willing to extend a helping hand to anyone in need. Marion was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Milton. She is survived by her brother, Harry (wife Janet); her sons,  Larrie Sr. (wife Sharon)  and  Douglas; her grandsons,  Larrie Jr. (wife Christine) and David (wife Karen); and her cherished great-grandchildren,  Robbie and Julia. A Celebration of Life will be held on September 15, 2026 at  Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus St., Dover, DE. Family and friends are invited to a  visitation at 10:00 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest directly following the ser-vice at Sharon Hill Cemetery.
