Marilyn R. Anglin

Marilyn R. Anglin, 68 MILTON - Marilyn R. Anglin, of Milton, formerly of Gaithersburg, Md., died Sunday, July 27, 2008, and has become an eternal gardener. She was born in Lowell, Mass., July 23, 1940 the daughter of the late Mildred Stevens and Roy Edward Blanchard. Mrs. Anglin and her husband Raymond met as co-employees of Singer Co., Kearfott Division in New Jersey. Her last days were spent planning and planting gardens in their self designed home in Milton. Besides gardening and her love of animals, Mrs. Anglin was an accomplished sailor having spent months on a schooner, sailing off the shores of Portugal and later spending many leisurely summers sailing the waters around New York Bay and Long Island Sound. Mrs. Anglin was a member of the American Legion Unit 171, Damascus, Md. She previously served as president of the Junior Woman's League of Lincoln Park, N.J. Mrs. Anglin touched many people and has the good fortune to be remembered by many as a friend. In addition to her parents, she joins the spirits of Shiffrah, Theos, Tina Marie, Ty Chang and Morissa her devoted cats. Mrs. Anglin is survived by her husband of 26 years, Raymond K. Anglin; her sister Meredyth Blanchard, of Quincy, Mass; and cousins Barbara Greenslade, Mildred O'Connell and Candis Burnett. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, in the Lofland Funeral Home, 102 Lakeview Avenue, Milford. Graveside services will be held in Massachusetts at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to the Historic Lewes Cat Society, P.O. Box 353, Lewes, DE 19958.
