MILFORD - Marie Antoinette Estes passed away peacefully on July 2, 2016 at the Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. Born March 28, 1935 in Maine, Minette enjoyed her home. She loved animals, birds, cats, dogs and rescued many. She had a green thumb, and had a houseful of beautiful flowers. She worked passionately for Meals on Wheels and devoted most of her time to this cause. She made the best homemade bread, which her family and friends greatly enjoyed. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Douglas Estes; and her son, Douglas Earl Estes. She is survived by her son, Chris; and granddaughter, Erin Wright. Services were held privately. Her ashes were scattered at Killens Pond State Park where her husband, Earl (Doug), so often camped. The surviving family asks that in honor of her memory, donations be made to the Kent County SPCA.
