DOVER - Marie A. Chivis passed away Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011, in the University of Maryland Medical Center, Baltimore, Md. She was 51. Marie was born on May 30, 1960, in Wilmington. She enjoyed life as a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Tuskweth; and a daughter, Loren Chivis. Marie is survived by her father, Anthony Tuskweth Sr. of Smyrna; three children, Lawrence "Mike" Tuskweth and his companion Ashley Carney of Dover, Lorraine Chivis and her companion B.J. Brooks of Smyrna, and Leonard Chivis and his wife Amanda Husfelt of Henderson, Md.; two step-daughters, Tara Wright of Townsend, and Stephanie Younce of Marydel; her twin brother, Anthony Tuskweth Jr. of Lewes; and a sister, Patricia Carrow of Kenton; nine grandchildren; her companion, James Evans; daughter-in-law, Keri Cunningham of Smyrna; and aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family. Services will be 8 p.m., Friday, Aug. 19, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where visitation will be two hours earlier. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the funeral home to help with expenses. Letters of condolences can be sent via www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
