Marianne D. Schulze, 60
LEWES - Marianne D. Schulze of Lewes, formerly of Boston and Philadelphia, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2007, in Beebe Medical Center, Lewes. She was 60.
She was born Aug. 12, 1946, in Philadelphia, daughter of the late John R. and Anne T. (Halligan) Davis.
Mrs. Schulze moved to Delaware 10 years ago.
She was very active with the St. Vincent dePaul Society. She was an avid reader who was especially well versed in European and American history. She enjoyed international travel and spending time with her family, especially her son and granddaughter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Paul Schueller.
She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Louis N. Schulze; a son, Louis N. Schulze Jr. and his wife, Rebekah of Boston; a granddaughter, Anne Halligan; four brothers, John Davis and his wife, Patricia, Michael Davis, Thomas Davis and his wife, Heidi and Joseph Davis and his wife, Barbara; two sisters, Teresa Carl and her husband, Joseph and Frances Schueller; and many beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at 2 p.m. Sunday in Parsell Funeral Homes & Crematorium, Atkins-Lodge Chapel, 16961 Kings Highway, Lewes.
A funeral service will begin at 3 p.m.
Burial will be private.
Instead of flowers, contributions may be sent to the St. Vincent dePaul Society, c/o St. Edmond"s Catholic Church, P.O. Box 646, Rehoboth Beach, DE 19971.
