Marianna 'Nana' Thomas, 80

DOVER - Marianna "Nana" Thomas, of Dover, passed away Thursday, April 24, 2008, in Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital, Milford. She was 80.

She was born on June 27, 1927, in Leipsic, to the late William and Virginia Schifferdecker Thomas.

Mrs. Thomas worked at Playtex for many years.

She enjoyed going to the slots and playing crosswords. She enjoyed family time at gatherings.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William H. Thomas; and a brother and sister-in-law, Robert E. and Jeanne Thomas.

She is survived by son and his wife, Robin J. and Judy Thomas of Waukesha, Wis.; son and his wife, Roger B. and Rita Thomas of Corpus Christi, Texas; son, Timothy W. Thomas of Dover; sister and her husband, Lois and Jackie Robinson of Hartly; granddaughter and her husband, Amy and Chris Messick of Dover; grandson and his wife, Nathan and Michela Thomas of Vicenza, Italy; grandchildren, Adam, Kristen, Emily and Rebecca Thomas of Waukesha; granddaughter, Percilla Chapa of Corpus Christi; great-grandson, Jared Church of Dover; great-grandson, Dane Church of Dover; great-granddaughter, Morgan Messick of Dover; and her dog companion, Patches.

Celebration of life services will 11 a.m. Tuesday in Trader Funeral Home, Dover.

Burial will be at the Lake Side Cemetery, Dover.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 6-8 p.m. Monday in the Trader Funeral Home.

The family requests that people reflect upon their memories and thoughts of Marianna and write down any memories and photos and bring them in to share. Also if any one has a keepsake to share with them, please do.
