Marian D. O'Brien, 85 DOVER - Marian Doris Johnson O'Brien passed away in her sleep March 18, 2010. She was 85. She was from Parkersburg, W.Va. The family moved to Dover in 1962 where she was the hostess and bookkeeper at The Dinner Bell Inn for many years, worked at Playtex, Treadway Towers, Dover Dry Cleaners and for Canteen at the Elks Club. She was the Poet Laureate for the State of Delaware in 1976 with the release of her book Oceans Of Emotions. Preceding her in death was her infant daughter, Mary; daughter, Bonnie and husband Leland; two sisters and her brother. She is survived by four sons, Steve of Audubon, Pa., Mark of Hernando, Fla., David of Tierra Verde, Fla., Eric of Dover, Del.; and four grandchildren. Funeral services will be private.
