
DOVER - Marguerite H. Webb got her angel wings on Saturday, March 3, 2018.
Marguerite lived her whole life in Delaware. Born in Delmar to the late Ernest and Elsie Wootten Hickman on Nov. 22, 1925. She married Burton E. Webb on Jan. 31, 1948. They lived in Delmar and Seaford before moving to Dover in 1955.
She always told everyone she lived a good life. Marguerite was very active in the community: girl scouts, VFW, Wesley Church, Garrison Lake Golf Course and traveling with her husband and friends. She was a member of the "Spring Chicks" and loved playing cards with her friends at Luther Towers, where she lived for more than 20 years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Burton Webb; sister, Faye Hickman; and many other family members and friends.
Marguerite is survived by her daughters, Sue E. Killen (Bobby) and Debbie Devine (Jim); ten grandchildren, Carissa Weekes (Tom), Craig Killen (Terry), Jamie Cummings, Billy Killen, Rebecca Grier (Garrett), Clayton Devine (Heather), Deanna Peer, Amanda Steinhorn (Russ), Andrew Devine and Morgan Devine; special friend, Rose Wagner; great-grandchildren, Chase Killen, Leah Weekes, Thomas Weekes, Cole Cummings, Lane Cummings, Payton Killen, Paisley Killen, Ty Cummings, Kellan Peer, Teagan Grier, Cameron Devine, Layton Grier, Carrie Stevenson (Reese) and Alex Kreiser; great-great-grandchildren, Isabelle Stevenson, Hazel Stevenson and Lila Kreiser; and several nieces and nephews.
Sue and Debbie would like to thank Seasons Hospice especially Donna Friends and Debbie Guelette for the special care they showed our mother. A special thank you to Dr. Gary Singh, Rachel Troyer and Barbara Sue Miller for all the care and love they also showed our mother.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 209 S. State Street, Dover, DE 19901.
