DOVER - Margie Nunn Pruett died peacefully at home with her husband by her side on Saturday, March 19, 2016. Margie, the youngest of five children, was born in Switchback, W.Va. to the late Wilson and Alice Nunn. For 24 years Margie worked as an administrative assistant at Delaware State University, retiring in 1993. Her faith was important to her, and as a Methodist minister's wife, she spent those years deeply involved in Bible studies and prayer groups. Her service-oriented nature led her to be instrumental in the founding of Hope United Methodist Church, with her outreach including endeavors such as the organization of food pantries and a personal items closet. In recent years, she became the President of the Kent County chapter of AtTAcK Addiction. Left to cherish Margie's memory are her husband of 64 years, Dale Pruett; four daughters, Janet Knight and her partner, David Thompson of Charlottesville, Va., Anne Pruett-Barnett and her husband, Mark, of Wilmington, Sharon Voshell and her husband, Mike, of Magnolia, Sandi Sweeney and her husband, Mike, of Middletown; a sister, Irma Webb, of Bluewell, W.Va.; and seven grandchildren, Jessica Pruett-Barnett, Ryan Voshell and his wife, Meridith, Eric Voshell, Chris Jones, Andrew Jones, Allyson Sweeney, and Michael Sweeney; and many nieces and nephews who loved her as well. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2016, at Whatcoat United Methodist Church, 16 N. Main St., Camden, Del. where the family will greet friends beginning at 1:00 p.m. The service will be followed by food and fellowship at the church. Contributions may be made in Margie's memory to AtTAcK Addiction, PO Box 36, Bear, Del., 19701 or to Whatcoat United Methodist Church, 16 N. Main Street, Camden, Del., 19934. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
