FELTON - Margaret H. Dill went home to be with her Savior and loved ones for Christmas. She passed away on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012. Margaret was born Sept. 14, 1928 to the late Henry F. Harris and Elma (Rickards) Harris of the Greensboro/Ridgely, Md. area. Margaret graduated from Greensboro High School. Shortly after graduation she married Clifton N. Dill of Felton, DE. They were married almost 50 years prior to his death in 1995. Over her lifetime she was employed at the Harrington Shirt Factory, LIbby, McNeil & Libby, Swift Chicken Plant and she retired as a cook/baker from the Lake Forest School District after 23 years of service. For several years she sold tickets to the grandstand shows during the Delaware State Fair. She was a member of Independent Bible Fellowship Church in Harrington, DE and the Harrington Senior Center. Margaret was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton and only child, Beverly Dill who passed away in August of this year. From a family of 11 children, she is survived by only two sisters, Mildred Wamsley and Henrietta Legates from Harrington. The sisters were constant companions over the years. Shirleen Wright, her niece, of Harrington was caregiver for Beverly and Margaret following Beverly's debilitating stroke in 1995. She is survived by several other nieces and nephews in the surrounding area. Her greatest desire was to remain in her own home until her death. This wish was made possible by the care and dedication of four ladies that gave her excellent care and loved her very much. There was a visitation Wednesday, December 26, 2012 from 6 to 8 p.m at the Berry-Short Funeral Home in Felton. The funeral service was held Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at 1 p.m at the Independent Bible Fellowship Church in Harrington. Interment will followed at the Hopkins Cemetery in Felton, Del. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Independent Bible Fellowship Church 6797 Milford-Harrington Hwy, Harrington, DE 19952. Arrangements are provided by Berry-Short Funeral Homes.
