MILFORD - Margaret Gilmore passed away peacefully at her home on Friday, July 10, 2015. Born on March 15, 1919 in Swoyersville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Veronica (Minar) Piznar. She was a loving, caring wife and mother who always put the needs of others before herself. Her greatest joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and having them home to celebrate holidays and special occasions. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, James P. Gilmore, three brothers and three sisters. Margaret is survived by her two daughters Joyce Long and Kathleen Davidson; her son James P. Gilmore, Jr. and his wife Linda; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family appreciates the excellent home care and companionship provided by the caregivers of Home Instead Senior Care, which allowed our mother to reside safely and comfortably in her home the past two years. Services will be private at the convenience of the family at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro, Del. Arr. by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford, Del.
