Margaret D. Rash

WYOMING - Margaret D. Rash passed away Sunday, May 22, 2011 in her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 91. She was born on Jan. 8, 1920 in Massey, Maryland, daughter of the late John and Myrtle (King) Dixon. Margaret worked for the Caesar Rodney School District for 29 years in the cafeteria. She enjoyed being with her family and the fellowship with her church family and friends. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, John E. Rash in 1988; brothers, Vincent Dixon, Dudley Dixon, Charles Dixon, Cooper Dixon, John Dixon and Lawerence Dixon; sisters, Florence Dixon, Angie Gary, Anna Benton, Marie Dixon and Myrtle Dixon. She is survived by two sons, John C. Rash and his wife Dorothy and James A. Rash and wife Linda all of Willow Grove; two brothers, Harry Samuel Dixon of Middletown and Lewis Dixon of Sandtown; grandchildren, John Rash, Jr., Nancy Laird, Wayne Rash, Jason Rash, Elaine Harrington, Mark Rash and Carol Shuba and 13 great grandchildren. Friends may call 6-8 p.m., Wednesday, May 25, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, May 26 at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery, Sandtown. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Gospel Holiness Chapel, c/o 1281 VanDyke Greenspring Rd., Smyrna, DE 19977.
