SELBYVILLE - Mable Lillian Thomas, of Selbyville, died Friday, June 6, 2008, in Atlantic Shores Nursing and Rehabilitation, Millsboro. She was 93.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Thursday in Bennie Smith Funeral Home, Millsboro, where friends may call one hour prior to services.
Burial will be in Golden Acres, Bishopville, Md.
John Edison Truitt, 74
SALISBURY, Md. - John Edison Truitt, of Salisbury, formerly of Kissimmee, Fla., died Monday, June 9, 2008, in Coastal Hospice at the Lake, Salisbury. He was 74.
Born in Cannon, Del., the son of the late Helen Dickerson and Paul Truitt, he was a carpenter at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.
Mr. Truitt was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of Nanticoke Post 6 of the American Legion in Seaford, Del., the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 534, Harrington, Del., and the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Lathers Union Local 1765, Kissimmee.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Bruce B. Truitt Sr., who died in March 2008, and Lester Truitt; and his sisters, Florence Timmons and Pauline Timmons.
He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Charles McKinney Jr. of Salisbury; a brother and sister-in-law, Warren and Sue Truitt of Milford, Del.; a step-grandson, Charles McKinney III and his wife Teresa; and nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Watson-Yates Funeral Home, Front and King streets, Seaford, where friends may call from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service.
