M. Fletcher Webb, 68

ELLENDALE - M. Fletcher Webb, age 68, of Ellendale, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 10, in Harbor Healthcare with his granddaughter at his side. Fletcher was born on May 24, 1941, the son of the late Ruth and Veril Webb. Fletcher was a farmer. He was a life member of the Ellendale Volunteer Fire Company, Station 75. He would have been a 50 year member on Sept. 19, 2009. During his membership, Fletcher held many positions in the Ellendale Fire Company. He served on the Board of Directors, as Assistant Fire Chief, President, Fire Police Captain, Fire Police, Assistant, Treasurer, Fire Captain, Fire Recorder, Chief Engineer and Communications Officer. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judith Steele Webb; a daughter Judith V. Reed and her husband Jeff; two sons, Jeffrey Fletcher Webb and his wife Michelle A., and Keith E. Webb and his wife Michelle; six grandchildren, Hilary A. Webb and her friend Craig, J. Scott Reed, Branden M. Reed, Jeffrey F. Webb II, Hanna Ruth Webb, and Keith J. Webb; one great-grandson, 2 year old, Austin C. Webb; a sister, Charlotte Beam and her husband Bill; three nephews, Bill, Bob, and Ken; and his best friends, Howard Crew, and Gary Warren. Friends may call from 1 - 3 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 20, at the Ellendale Volunteer Fire Company, 302 Main Street, Ellendale, where funeral services with firefighter honors will be held at 3 pm. Burial will be private. The family requests casual dress. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the M. Fletcher Webb Medical Expense Fund, C/O Wilmington Trust Co, 1 NW Front St, Milford, DE 19963-1439. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
