Lydia Morawski, 90 Houston native Lydia Williams Morawski passed away on November 14, 2021, in Warren, Michigan and was laid to rest at White Chapel Cemetery, Troy, Michigan. Ms. Morawski was born July 20, 1931, in Milford, Delaware, to William and Ida Williams. She grew up in Houston, attended Houston School and graduated from Milford High School. Following graduation, she started her working career Libby's in Houston, Playtex in Dover and traveled throughout the country with her husband, Kenneth, during his Airforce assignments. During this time, Ms. Morawski trained and was certified in computer programing. After moving to Michigan in 1967, Ms. Morawski worked at several regional and national banks in Detroit, where she was highly regarded and rose to the level of manager, due to her skill and expertise. Following retirement from the bank, she continued to work at Sears. She raised five children, William ("Jay"), Harold, Donna, Terry, Kenneth Jr. as well her granddaughter Jennifer. Ms. Morawski enjoyed traveling with her sister Anna and was well known for her memory, giving and Christian nature, thoughtfulness, cooking skills, and vast library of cook books. She was also a proud graduate of Dale Carnegie and continued to use the skills and leadership developed there throughout her life. Lydia was preceded by her parents, Ida and Wm Williams; sister, Anna Hammond; brother, William, Jr.; husband, Ken; and children, Harold, Donna and Terry. Survived by children, William (Suzie), Kenneth (Cathy); and granddaughter, Jennifer (Matt); and grandchildren, Lauren (Mike) Jonathan, Samantha (Shane) and Claire; four great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews in Delaware and Michigan.
