Lydia 'Vickie' Jones, 72

CAMDEN, Del. - Lydia "Vickie" Jones passed away peacefully with family at Kent General Hospital on Tuesday, April 6, 2021.
Vickie was born on December 10, 1948 in Milford, Delaware to the late Florence and Randall Hill. She graduated from Harrington High School in 1966 and went on to receive her bachelor's degree from University of Delaware, she then began her 10-year teaching career for the Caesar Rodney School District.
Vickie married her husband, Chuck in October 1987. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and enjoyed coloring and a good crossword puzzle. She was also a sport enthusiast especially for the Philadelphia Phillies and a love for Nascar. She enjoyed spending the Delaware winters in Florida in their home away from home motor home.
Vickie is survived by her husband, Franklin "Chuck" Jones of Camden, Del.; her children, Mindy and John Wieber of Magnolia, Del. and Dave and Michele Jones of Magnolia, Del.; her grandchildren, Aliesha, Sarah, Zachary, Evan, Austin, and Alex; also, her great grandchildren, Mason, Bentlee, and Lincoln.
She was preceded in death by her parents Florence and Randall Hill; and granddaughter, Cassie Jones.
Funeral arrangements will be conducted in compliance with Covid-19 directives only 50 guests at a time, masks are required and social distancing must be followed.
Family and Friends may gather from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. and memorial services will begin at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 12, 2021 at Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Camden, DE 19934.
In lieu of flowers, the family is asking to make donations in Vickie's memory to the Camden-Wyoming Fire Department, 200 E. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Camden, DE 19934
