Lydia Esther Vicente, 72

DOVER - Lydia Esther Vicente, of Dover, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover. She was 72. Lydia was born on June 17, 1936, in Ceiba, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Ramon and Theodora Hernandez. She had worked as a seamstress and enjoyed knitting and watching soap operas. Lydia is survived by her husband, Angel D. Vicente; a daughter, Jeanette Vicente of Dover; a son, Angel D. Vicente Jr. and his wife Lakeita of Keller, Texas; a sister, Gloria Cortes of Bronx, N.Y.; six grandchildren, Joshua Palmer and Melanie Palmer, both of Dover, Kadarrius Jackson, Jordan Vicente and Kameran Vicente, all of Keller, and Alejandra Vicente of Arlington, Texas. Friends may call from 4-7 p.m. Sunday at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Burial will be private.
