Luisa, "Lu" Mazier Johnson passed away Sunday, December 4, 2022, at home.
Luisa was born October 24, 1925, in Honduras, CA, daughter of the late Teofilo and Elizabeth Mazier.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Emil "Tiny" Ebert in April of 1977; and by her second husband, Filbert "Fil" Johnson in November of 1991; also by three brothers, Carlos, Eduardo, and Luis Mazier.
She worked in Philadelphia, PA, as a Secretary in the Physics Department of the University of Pennsylvania until she married and moved to Dover. She also worked at Delaware Guidance for Children when it first opened an office in Dover. Luisa attended Cheswold United Methodist Church.
She was a member of the Stepping Seniors at the Modern Maturity Center, where she enjoyed line dancing and aerobics. She belonged to two bowling teams which she thoroughly enjoyed. Luisa enjoyed working in her yard, also sewing, embroidering, decorating tee-shirts and going on bus trips.
She is survived by her nephews, Phil Ebert, Mark (Dee) Ebert, and Rob (Sandy) Ebert; her nieces, Elizabeth Anastasiodis and Barbara Menjiuar; her cousins, Debbie and Buddy Romans and Rosemary Lowe; her sister-in-law, Dioselina Mazier; and several other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral services will be held 12 Noon, Tuesday, December 13, 2022, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in Sharon Hills Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made, in Luisas memory to either, The Cheswold United Methodist Church, 97 Main Street, Cheswold, DE 19936, or Delaware Hospice, 16 Polly Drummond Center, 2nd Floor, Newark, DE 19711.
