Lucinda Horsey, 91

SEAFORD - Lucinda Horsey, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 14, 2009, in Seaford Genesis HealthCare. She was 91. She was born July 27, 1917 in Princess Anne, Md., the daughter of the late Orlando and Arinthia Hayward Bivens. She was a domestic worker in private home. She was a member and former "Mother" of the Mt. Zion Holy Church in Delmar. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Horsey Sr.; two children, Elwood Horsey and Patricia Ann Saez; and two brothers, Orlando Bivens and Glenmore Bivens. She is survived by 12 children, George Bivens, of Laurel, Roy Horsey, of Laurel, William R. Horsey Jr., of Milford, Samuel H. Horsey, of Delmar, Donald L. Horsey, of Seaford, Milton J. Horsey, of Bridgeville, James T. Horsey, of Salisbury, Nathaniel Horsey, of Harbeson, Catherine Delores Horsey, of Laurel, Marian Lee Smith, of Charlotte, N.C., Catherine V. Horsey, and Elaine Parker, both of Laurel; two sisters, Viola Jones, of Eden, Md., and Betty Wittington, of Princess Anne, Md.; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 22, 2009 at the Mt. Zion Holy Church, 209 N. Memorial Drive, Laurel, with Elder Ethel Oney officiating. Burial will follow at St. Matthews Church Cemetery in Laurel. Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Arrangements by Framptom Funeral Home, P.
