Lt. Steven Romell Floyd, Sr., departed this life Feb. 2, 2017. He was born in Lewes on Nov. 7, 1969. Lt. Floyd, Sr., is survived by his wife, Saundra M. Floyd; children, Steven Floyd, Jr., Candyss Floyd, Chyvanté; parents, Sharon Floyd and Steven Harmon; sisters, Sharon Davis and Shavaughn Felder; grandmother, Gladys Wise; grandsons, Bryson Floyd, Caison Floyd; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. First public viewing will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, 2017, at Delaware State University Memorial Hall, 1200 N. DuPont Hwy., Dover. Lt. Floyd's Celebration of Life will be held 12 noon Saturday, Feb. 11, 2017, at Delaware State University Memorial Hall Viewing to be held from 8 a.m.-12 noon; with formal Celebration of Life to follow.
