DOVER - Louise G. Thompson, 85, passed away on Jan. 3, 2010. She was born to the late William and Anna George on Sept. 29, 1925, in Tunis Mills, Md. She enjoyed the simplest things such as cooking for her family, caring for her house plants as well as any one of her many Boston terriers. She spent 40 years participating in the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. Her favorite moments were spending time with her family, especially her great grandson Darius. Family was an integral part in her life from growing up with ten siblings. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Thompson; and two of her children, Donald Wayne Wrobel, and Robert "Jerry" Thompson. She is survived by four sisters, Irene Dayton, Clara Tolson, Rose Perry, Barbara Watson; and one brother, Otis George; her daughter, Deloris "Faye" Shanan; six grandchildren, and 14 great- grandchildren. A memorial service will be 3 p.m., Sunday, Feb. 13, 2011, at the Walter L. Fox, Post 2 - American Legion, Dover. Arrangements by Torbert Funeral Chapels, Dover.
