Louise Bennett, 88 WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Louise Bennett, 88, of West Chester, Pa., formerly of Dover, passed away Sunday, May 23, in her daughter's home surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 30, 1922, in Pocomoke City, Md., daughter of the late Peter and Laura (Ardis) Tilghman. She enjoyed life as a homemaker. Louise was a member of the Christ Memorial Baptist Church, Dover. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bennett. Louise is survived by a son, Robert James Bennett Jr. and his wife Dale of Laurens, S.C.; a daughter, Nadine Kaptur and her husband Mark of West Chester, Pa.; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchilden. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Thursday, May 27, at the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming. Service will be at 1 p.m. at the Christ Memorial Baptist Church, 1160 E. Lebanon Rd., Dover. Burial will follow at Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.
