Louis McKinley Grinage, 86
BRIDGEVILLE - Louis McKinley Grinage, of Bridgeville, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2007, in the Delaware Veterans Home, Milford after a brief illness. He was 86.
Louis was born Dec. 20, 1920, to the late Edward Nichols and Hattie Blanche Grinage in Harrington.
He spent his entire life in Delaware, later making Bridgeville his home.
Louis worked many years for Scott Furniture and Carpet Co., Bridgeville, as a carpet layer and floor technician.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War at the Ryukyus campaign and recieved the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal and Victory Medal.
Louis was a member of Mount Calvary UM Church, church usher, and past chairman of trustees.
He was also a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Millsboro Post, American Legion Bridgeville, Bridgeville Community Choir, Seaford Bowling League, and the Mr. & Mrs. Club.
Louis is survived by his wife of 60 years, Helen Elizabeth Grinage; one son, Emanuel Hamilton of Magnolia; two daughters, Florence and her husband Bruce Goldsborough of Dover and B. Lorraine Hamilton of Magnolia; one brother, Charles A. Anderson of Greenwood; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday in Mount Calvary UM Church, Bridgeville, where friends may call one hour prior.
The Rev. Baron Hopkins will officiate.
Burial will be in Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro.
