Lois Alberta Olson Ricketts

FELTON - Lois Alberta Olson Ricketts of Felton passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2007, in Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital, Dover after a long illness.

She was born in Minnesota to the late Swan and Sophia Olson.

Mrs. Ricketts worked for Howard Johnson Restaurant before retiring after 21 years.

She then moved to the Lewes-Rehoboth Beach area where she worked at Papa John"s in Long Neck until she was 67.

Mrs. Ricketts enjoyed fishing, traveling, Game Show Network, the Discovery Channel, the Ellen DeGeneres Show and Dancing with the Stars.

She also enjoyed spending time with her family who was her life.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her identical twin sister, Doris Olson Hall Gerbino; a brother, Robert Olson; and two sons, Robert "Peppy" and Peter "Pete" Ricketts.

She is survived by a son, John "Carson" Ricketts of Thorton, W.V.; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Patricia "Patty" and her husband, Laurin "Sonny" Seaman of Felton, Judy Pappas of Frederica and Janet and her husband, Olin "Bob" Clough of Felton; daughter-in-law, Lori Ricketts of Carson City, Nev.; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nephews, Chucky and his family of New York and Jimmy and his wife of Iowa; and her cats, Skeeter and Jake and her dog, Shadow.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday in the Pippin Funeral Home, 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may call from 11 a.m. until time of the service.

Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden.

Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to the Scleroderma Foundation, Att: Donations, 300 Rosewood Dr., Suite 105, Danvers, MA 01923.
