Logan Matthew Haxton
DOVER - Logan Matthew Haxton passed away unexpectedly in a motor vehicle accident early Sunday, September 26, 2021.
Logan was born in Dover, DE, July 19, 1999 to Wayne Allen Lowman and Karen Haxton Miller. He lived in Delaware, Florida and South Carolina until the age of 10 years old. He moved to Wake Forest, NC where he lived from 2012-2018 before returning to Hartley, DE. Logan loved playing with BB guns and repairing cars with his grandfather as a child. He also enjoyed participating in football, basketball and baseball. Logan spent most of his time with family and friends frequenting theme parks, riding dirt bikes, camping, fishing, participating in water sports and going on trips with his siblings.
Logan was a member of ROTC in high school and was loved by many of his classmates. Logan was saved and baptized at Word of Life Church in Rolesville, NC in 2014. He graduated from Wake Forest High School in Wake Forest, NC in 2017.
Logan began pursuing his career in auto body collision repair after high school, first working for Leith Automotive in Wendell, NC. He was employed in Delaware at Hertrich Collision and Repair doing auto body repair and mechanical work.
Logan was fun-loving. He lit up the room with his smile. He had a kind word for everyone he met and was adored by many. He had a passion for doing projects with his father and brothers, as well as spending time with his mother and sisters and grandparents. He would help anyone in need at any time.
Logan loved all of his siblings. He demonstrated a protective nature over his sisters. He was adored by his nephew, Jayce, and his many brothers and sisters. Logan was an amazing son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle and friend.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, L. Paul Haxton (2013), and his uncle, Paul V. Haxton (2010).
Logan is survived by his parents, Wayne Allen Lowman (Tara) of Cary, NC and Karen Haxton Miller (Christopher) of Harrington, DE; brothers, Donshea Collins-Clark of Virginia Beach, VA, Kelton Holley (Ashley) of Wake Forest, NC; sisters, Justice Durham (Steven) of Cary, NC, Destiny Lowman of Raleigh, NC, Jasmyn Haxton, Jayden Haxton, Alyssa Haxton all of Smyrna, DE, Karli Guyther of Birmingham, AL, Kynleigh Holley of Winston Salem, NC; grandparents, Susan Haxton of Goose Creek, SC, Wayne & Freda Gillis of Jacksonville, NC and Richard & Jean White of Boaz, AL; and nephew, Jayce Durham of Cary, NC.
Services will be held 12 Noon, Friday, October 1, 2021, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call from 10 to 12. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery.
