Lisa (Buswell) Shaw, 50
Lisa (Buswell) Shaw passed away September 19, 2021 at home with her husband, Rob, by her side. She was born March 4, 1971, in Dover, DE and graduated from Lake Forest High School in 1989.
She began her professional career working at Bank of America before becoming employed by the Department of Correction in 1999. In 2000 she moved to The Office of Highway Safety as a Management Analyst III, responsible for the oversight of various activities related to impaired driving. Her tireless efforts earned her the respect of national organizations, including MADD, and local and regional law enforcement offices.
In 2011, Lisa retired from State employment, which enabled her to spend more time with her family and friends. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and enjoyed watching games with Rob and others. She was also an avid reader and could always be found with a book by her side. Lisa enjoyed cooking and baking and sharing with others.
Most of all, Lisa enjoyed spending time with her family. She was most proud of her children and grand-children and took pride in their every accomplishment. She never hesitated to encourage and support them in every endeavor and lived for the moments she could spend with them.
Lisa was a lover of all things. She loved her family and friends, her Lord and Savior, ladybugs, nature walks, sitting peacefully while the sun warmed her, fresh food from Rob's bountiful garden, and decadent deserts. Lisa was also a giver, one who always thought of others before herself and who never hesitated to help those in need. Lastly, Lisa was a warrior, who fought bravely for ten years so that she could spend just one more day with her loved ones. For that, we are thankful and humbled.
Lisa was preceded in death by eldest daughter, Rebecca Lonski, who died on June 18, 2021. She is survived by her loving husband and best friend, Rob, who she married in 2008. She is also survived by Rebecca's children, Khloe and Adam Blake Clendaniel; her daughter, Sarah Lonski, and Sarah's son, Zander; and her son, Steven Moore. Also surviving Lisa are her mother Ethel Dill, and her father Buzz and his wife Nancy, sister Kristi Buswell, brother and sister-in-law Kevin and DeAnne Buswell, and David and Monica. Lisa will also be remembered by her mother-in-law, Maryellen Shaw, and Rob's brothers, JT his wife Nancy, Richard, and Henry. Last but not least, Lisa will be missed more than words can express by her extended family, friends and others whose lives she touched during her limited time with us.
A Memorial Service will be held on September 29, 2021, at Pippin Funeral Home, Inc., 119 West Camden-Wyoming Ave., Wyoming, where friends may gather beginning at 2 p.m. Services will immediately follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Jim Dorton from Three Stones Church officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to The American Cancer Society. https://www.cancer.org/involved/donate.html.
Condolences may be sent via: www.pippinfuneralhome.com.
