MILTON - Lisa R. Wilhelm passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2019.
Lisa touched many lives and her joy was the people around her. As a wife and mother and sister, Lisa lovingly served her husband and six sons, and her sister Ruby. She attended and graduated from Greenwood Mennonite School and earned degrees in hospitality management and accounting from Delaware Tech in Georgetown.Before marrying her husband, Keith, Lisa worked in several restaurants including The Hostess House and The Lettuce Bowl, her family's restaurants near Greenwood. After marrying, she worked for several years doing bookkeeping for several businesses before becoming a stay-at-home mom and homeschool teacher to her sons. She enjoyed her family, cooking, gardening, sewing, and planning times together with family and friends to fellowship, eat, and play games.
Lisa was preceded in death by her parents, Milton M. and Esther (Shirk) Swartzentruber, Jr.
She is survived by her husband, Keith; their sons, Jacob, Andrew, Peter, Daniel, John, and Joseph; and her sister, Ruby.
A private burial will be held at Barratt's Chapel Cemetery in Frederica.
A celebration of Lisa's life will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2019 at Crossroad Community Church, 20684 State Forest Road, Georgetown, DE 19947.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to: Sussex Pregnancy Care Center, 5 Burger King Drive, Georgetown, DE 19947.
