Linda Lee Joiner

ROCK HALL, Md. - Linda Lee Joiner, 66, of Rock Hall, died Oct. 28, 2011, in Washington Hospital, Washington, D.C. Linda was born on May 14, 1945, daughter of the late Gloria Hill Layton. She was a lifetime resident of Kent County where she owned and operated McJoiners Bakery. She also worked for Kent County Schools in the cafeteria and Chester River Hospital as a Patient Care Technician. Mrs. Joiner was active with the Rock Hall Vol. Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary, and was a member of Wesley Chapel and Raum Chapel United Methodist Churches. She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking, traveling, and sewing and was known for being a caregiver. She was preceded in death by a brother, Dudley Reed, Sr. Mrs. Joiner is survived by her husband of 47 years, Walter E. 'Mike' Joiner; two sons, Michael Joiner-Gagalski and his wife Sara of Rock Hall and Christopher Joiner and companion Kim Nguyen of Huntington Beach, Calif.; a sister, Clara Reed of Chestertown; and six grandchildren, Steven, Alyssa and Kendall Joiner, Luke and Madison Joiner-Gagalski and Evan Nguyen. Visitation will be held on Sunday, Nov. 6, from 6 to 8 p.m., in Rock Hall Fire House, Rock Hall. Funeral Service will be held on Monday, Nov. 7, at 11 a.m., in Wesley Chapel Church, Rock Hall. Burial will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered to Rock Hall Vol. Fire Co., P.O. Box 577, Rock Hall, MD 21661. Arrangements by Galena Funeral Home of Stephen L.
