DOVER - Lynn Smith went to be with the Lord peacefully from her home on Saturday, June 16, 2012. She was born, July 31, 1958, in Omaha, Neb. to the late Lonnie and Joyce VanDevander. Lynnie worked at Wyoming Concrete for 18 years after which she went to work for Dr. Wilson & Appel. She was an avid animal lover from her years of working at Brenford Animal Hospital and would help anyone and everyone she met. Lynnie was well known and deeply loved by all those who had come in contact with her. She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years, Gregory P. Smith; two daughters, Jamie Lynn Barrett and Taylor Lindsay Smith; brother, David VanDevander; two grandsons, Quentin Warner Roach and Colin Barrett Roach. Lynn is also survived by extended family in England and Virginia as well as many special friends. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 20, 2012, from 6-8 p.m. Services will be held Thursday, June 21, 2012, at 1 p.m. at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Interment will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Camden. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the Kent County SPCA 32 Shelter Circle Camden, DE 19934 or American Cancer Society, P.O.
