CHESTERTOWN, Md. - Lillian E. "Jonie" Boyce of Chestertown departed this life Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at home. She was 58.
She was born May 31, 1948, to Rebecca Newman and the late Wilbur Johnson.
Jonie was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church where she attended Sunday school and sang in the Junior Choir directed by Dorothy Brown. Her favorite hymn was, "I Come To the Garden Alone." Jonie helped out in the kitchen for a while and enjoyed doing so. Jonie loved music, church and having fun until her health started to take a toll on her. She never gave up her faith in God.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in Asbury United Methodist Church, Georgetown Road, Chestertown, where friends may call two hours prior to the service.
